Neo-Advent Technologies, LLC is an innovative technology development enterprise that has been incorporated in 2003. The founding group of Company's principals possesses decades of combined experience in the fields of polymer science, advanced materials, drug discovery and development, and pharmaceutical formulations.  In many areas NAT quickly grew up from a consulting services’ model to an integrated profitable business with a strong internal experimental base and an extended line of clients.

NAT currently provides an extensive set of services to the industrial, academic, and government entities. The Company takes a pride in delivering high quality and high impact results to its clients and partners in the most cost- and time-effective manner while building the relations that last and flourish.

OUR TEAM

Nelson Landrau, President and CEO

Mr. Nelson Landrau co-founded Neo-Advent Technologies, LLC. He is an entrepreneur with a variety of hands-on technical skills and over 20 years of experience in polymer and synthetic organic chemistry, materials sciences, and drug formulation.  Early in his professional career Mr. Landrau established a track record in the design of advanced coatings and polymeric materials while working for Foster Miller and Eikos. His efforts resulted in multiple patents and two NASA awards in late 1990s for novel thermoset plasticizers for polyimide resins and high temperature micron-sized polymer spheres. Later on he successfully applied his superb knowledge of the polymer systems in the pharmaceutical setting at Inotek Pharmaceuticals where he spearheaded design and operation of the synthetic scale-up lab and then ventured in drug formulation arena. Mr. Landrau holds a M.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts.

Tian Hao, Ph.D., Director of Drug Formulations

Dr. Hao is a formulator extraordinaire that combines vast experience in many fundamental areas of polymer and colloidal chemistry and hands-on skills in pharmaceutical formulation of both of liquid and solid dosage forms. His professional experience has been recognized by participation in the review panels of the National Science Foundation as well as European and Israel Science Foundations. He has extensively published in the field including a recent book “Granular Materials: Physical Properties and Pharmaceutical Applications”, CRC/Taylor Francis, 2010. Dr. Hao received his Ph.D. degree in Polymer Sciences and Colloidal Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and carried out a postdoctoral research at the Toho University and the National Institute of Material and Chemistry Research (Tsukuba) in Japan, and at the Rutgers University. He subsequently worked at the E Ink and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Cambridge, MA.

Pierre Leblanc, Ph.D., Head of Biology

Dr. Leblanc is a biochemist with 20 years of academic and industrial experience in cellular and molecular immunology and biotechnology.  His work has focused on studies of regulation and de-regulation of the immune response. He served as a Director of Research at Oncogene Products and contributed to the development of novel antibody products and assay designs. He then joined Eikos, Inc. as Director of Molecular Biology and successfully managed several SBIR Phase I&II projects related to the US Army-sponsored antimalarial drug development.  He lately carried out research at Shriners Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Leblanc holds a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from McMaster University in Canada. His postdoctoral research is from the Boston University and MIT, Boston, MA.

Yosif Golfman, Ph.D., Principle Scientist, Material Sciences

Dr. Golfman is an engineer with more than 30 years of experience in polymer science and composite materials development and testing for military and civilian applications. He is an expert in the design of high performance plastics and related strain/stress analysis and has extensively worked on improvement of wearing properties, adhesive strength and durability of fiberglass, graphite/epoxy, carbon/carbon, and other composites. Dr. Golfman received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Shipbuilding Institute in Saint-Petersburg, Russia and after relocation to US worked for Adtech Systems Research, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, (Dayton, OH), Spectran Inc. (Sturbridge, MA), and Foster Miller (Waltham, MA).
